A submersible pump is a piece of electrical and mechanical equipment which is completely submerged in water or another type of medium. Submersible water pumps are used to transfer liquid from one location to another, using a connecting pipe. What makes submersible dirty water pumps different from other pumps is that their motor is sealed off to prevent any water coming into contact with electrics. Small submersible pumps are more efficient than other types such as jet pumps, which require less power due to the fact they push water to the surface rather than pulling it. Our submersible pumps (or sub pumps) use a hermetically sealed motor close-coupled to the pump body. The whole apparatus is then submerged in the fluid to be pumped.
